Packing...

When you are ready to leave 39 years of life behind you and start completely new...there are sooooo many thing to clarify, especially if you live in Germany. The bureaucracy is really 'interesting'. It starts with quitting your job. Afterwards you have to be registered as unemployed and fill out nearly 30 pages of questions. Your bank, where you have your bank account nearly 25 years feels very insecure when you tell them that you are leaving, but you still like to keep the account, you can't easily quit your internet at home, you first need to quit your residence. But to quit your residence you need a signed document from your landlord that you really moved out from your apartment. I really could write much more about all of it...Crazy stuff! So if you are going to plan something similar, start very early :-)
The next big thing is....As I am going to move a lot I only want to have my backpack and my small diving backpack with me. How the hell to put all this stuff (which I am already sure  I am not going to need all) inside? Yoga stuff, diving stuff, some nice pieces of cloths and my painting brushes. My laptop, passport, creditcards and to safe space, I finally bought a kindle (and packed it with yoga books).
At the end I was lucky because a very good friend of mine will take over my apartment including all my stuff. From glass to towel, everything, I only pack some boxes full of my private stuff like photos, gifts and some old dishes, which I collected over the last years during my travels.
And at the end I will pack my life in 2 Backpacks and that's it :-)
It sounds really weird but...Ask yourself how much do you REALLY need to be happy. Is it really a new TV, 10 dresses is the closet or always having the new technology? Meanwhile I know for myself that if you are not happy with less you are unhappier with a lot.
(even it was hard throwing away more than 40 new books, several pairs of high-heels (bleeding heart, CD's and so on......)
