Gili Air - the biggest love...

As my new friends Anja, Mike and Agus wanted to go to Gili Air they didn't have to asked twice :-) I booked my ticket and took the first boat in the morning from Padang Bai to be as soon as possible there....Back on Gili Air! I think there's no place on this earth more than I love Gili Air...ok maybe my small village in Serbia, but even not that much. I just jump of the boat and went directly to my room to Toro Toro Bungalows, which are run by my friend Ramzy...This crazy lovely Lombok guy, always laughing, smiling, funny and crazy. And my second run was of course my old home, the Beach Club. Meeting all this lovely people Nurul, Miska, Rusly, Ilham....once again....I can't describe the feeling! Happiness.

We spent 6 days in total there, being on holidays (ok it sounds weird that I am going for holidays :-) but yes) jumped into the ocean for hours, got a lot of tan, ate tons of sasak food again and yes..we had some Bintangs. Mike and me went for diving with Oceans5 with our great guide Safari but unfo I had so problems with equalizing, my ears pained like crazy, so I had to go up again :-( but at least we saw a funeral jorunna nudi.
We met this crazy funny guy Mike and he joined our group the last days. Went to the Lucky's Bar party (which music I didn't like that much), nothing but laughter and fun. We enjoyed the sunset at Mowie's Bar. I went for yoga to this special place called Mandalablue Yoga at Blue Marine Dive place. Sooo great! Maite led us thru a genius morning flow class.

Unfortunately on our last evening and in the middle of a great party, Anja found a baby cat ob the street and she brought it to me. As everybody know me, animals mean everything to me. This tinny girl was simply too young, I think around 3 weeks old. I accordingly left the party, keeping the cat in my bra to give her warmth as good as I could. She slept the night very close to me and on the next morning she was so weak, she just had some water and wasn't able to drink some milk. I desperately tried to find her mom, but I couldn't. I also wasn't able to take her with me to Bali :-( so I had to leave her back at a spa center, who promised me to take care of her, but to be honest I think this little heart didn't made it anymore. I try to avoid thinking of her but her eyes and the tinny paws broke my heart and bring tears to my eyes...I hope you are okay, little girl, wherever you may be now :-(

Around and about...

Living in Canggu is a blast. You are surrounded by so many cafes and restaurants with delicious food, tons of fruits on the market, beautiful ocean, good looking surfer people, super friendly locals. I feel very comfortable here. But even here in paradise, there are some days you rather would like to skip. I miss my family and friends pretty much, I miss my cat and I really miss german pretzels. Nothing in the world can replace them. Still looking to find a job to teach yoga, but every school seems to be full packed at the moment...And I can sit still and do nothing the whole day. I haven't try to surf because I am really scared of the big waves and even trying just to go into the water was an experience. At the end the people who were on the beach had their fun, because the wave ripped off my bikini top and the second one even took my pants :-) I can tell you.....
And finally it starts being me here :-) Usually I break my toes so many times. For now I am still ok, but read below :-)
I stay at a guest house with several really cool humans. Last Thursday, it was the day after niepy we went out to Old Man's to dance a little bit. Niepy is the silent day in Bali. It means nobody is allowed to go outside the house, you are not allowed to cook food, only cold one, no music, no lights, not speaking loud. Even the airport was closed. You can't imagine how many stars you saw that night as the whole island was completely covered in darkness. Really a super special experience.
Dancing with Bintang and flipflops is kind a weird, so Anja (the swiss girl) and me took off the shoes. At 1 in the morning, the shoes disappeared, however we couldn't find them (remember: in Thailand my flipflops came twice back).. We bought some new the next days.
We went out once again on friday....Pretty poison (https://www.facebook.com/Pretty-Poison-407326266122996/)  and afterwards to Sand Bar. Being super smart we locked the shoes into my scooter. End of story: some idiot stole my scooter and of course our new shoes as well. Man, this is so ridiculous!!!! I strong believe in Karma so I guess I might did something wrong to be fined like that. This story will cost me now around 600 Euros. Which means at least one month less living in Bali. But not even this one will stop me. I love Bali and the people here with all my heart and nothing is going to bring me to feel unsafe here. I appreciate the help from everybody here in this case. Especially owner of the guesthouse here and my best local friend, Dee, who did everything to clarify. And at the end it's only money, I am still alive, safe & sound :-)

Canggu - It's paradise

I couldn't wait to be back in Bali again! Already on the airport seeing all these smiling balinese people....I knew: I am finally home.

Of course I had the discussion about the price with the prepaid taxis. It's not the first time! But I learnt already how to deal so I just had to pay the price which is really written down...and not a "special one".  I decided to go directly to Canggu (and really to skip Kuta for the first time in my life). Never been in Canggu before, so no idea where exactly to start. After more than one hour walking around, trying to find a place to stay, with my super heavy luggage (aaaaaargh!!! I am definitely going to reduce it now, otherwise my neck is going to break completely) I found a lovely guesthouse.
I am staying in a super lovely community with 3 surfers and one local guy, Dee, who is more than super friendly. He always teach us where to find good and cheap local food, where the food market is and the best thing is, he teaches me the language. Doing better every day.

I said it already, I stopped making plans as they usually never work for me. Same case: I thought I will come to Canggu, stay here 2 nights, go to Seminyak and Uluwatu and stay there for maybe 2-3 nights. Situation now: I am already 5 days and Canggu and just decided to stay 9 nights more before I (maybe :-) head to Gilis or Lembongan.
Canggu is simply too cool....It's defo a surfer paradise and a super place to eat healthy. It is very easy to be vegetarian here. Easy living!

Trying to find a job here...For now it doesn't look too good. Why so many more people stole my idea, of going to Bali and being a yoga teacher? :-) but I still live with the motto "Be patient. Everything is coming to you in the right moment". So many good things happened already to me in my life so I am sure this one will happen, too.
For now I am just enjoying being here....Spending time at Old Man's beach & bar, eating healthy at Crate's and Betelnut, dancing at Deus Ex Machina...And maaaaan: dating the most beautiful human I ever met :-)

Bali - I am home...

If you get a chance - take it. If it changes your life - let it. Nobody said that it would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it!

Bye India

Six weeks later I am packing my backpack again and saying once again goodbye to Goa... After 6 great weeks, great time, great friends. I am really sad leaving all this behind me, but my heart is full of so many lovely memories, which will stay forever there.
I spent the last two weeks of teaching every morning my beloved ashtanga led class. I even taught 3 flow (slow-, heart and hip-opening flow) classes. First of them I really didn't like but....I really started getting into it. Maybe my friend Mert was the reason. We both went a bit tipsy to the class :-)
Every day, when my students went into savasana, I sat there in front of them and just observed them....Observed their calm breaths...I realize that I finally found that, what really makes me happy and I exactly know now, that my decision leaving my previous job and Germany was the best decision I ever made in my life.

As my friends Sacha, Jo and Mert were still around, we spent every day together....Do you guys know the movie "Eat, Pray, Love"? Julia Roberts started in Italy with eat. I definitely can say, my "eat" was in India. OMG! We ate..several times a day, a lot of tandoori fish and paneer (cottage cheese) in every possible variation and tones of cheese naan bread. We had a lot of masala chais and caffe latte. We even "created" masala chai only with coconut milk, which "Nirvana" (the place where we lived) only prepared for us. There are no words to describe how I felt with those 3 humans. Love isn't enough. I especially spent most time with Sacha, my little swiss brother (I finally have my little brother, Mom :-). We even learnt some nepalese vocabulary. Chikini (beautiful) and alakalak (separated). You guys have no idea how often you can use these 2 words to do a conversation :-)

On my last sunday we spent the day all together, plus Beatrix and Julia (who came back again from Bali to see us). We had soooo much fun, went to this lonely lovely beach called Cabo Rama by scooters, had fun doing Yoga and Acroyoga on the beach, but most fun we had trying taking some under water pictures....It didn't really work :-)

Saying goodbye to my friends, my dogs Shanti and Lady, my teachers and al the local people around was super sad for me...But I am ready for my new adventure called Bali.
Thank you everybody who spent time with me, especially to my lovely 3s, for all the memories....Goodbye Goa, goodbye Patnem Beach.
